Welcome! Interested in Dancing?

The Folk Dance Council of the Delaware Valley is a non-profit organization which exists to promote folk dancing and to further its enjoyment for everyone, to foster cooperation and to serve as an information exchange for the folk dancers of the multi-state region around Philadelphia, PA.

The FDC sponsors weekly folk dancing in Philadelphia - in the Art Museum neighorhood in the winter and in the Mt. Airy neighborhood in the summer. It organizes an annual calendar of folk dance special events and sends communications by email to a large list of interested recipients. The FDC is available to consider new sponsorship opportunities as requested by our region's dancers and local dance groups.

Dancing is currently suspended due to the coronavirus. When it is safe, we expect to resume dancing on Tuesday evenings at 8 PM. at Lloyd Hall (1 Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA, 19139) from October 1 through March 30 and at the Commodore Barry (Irish) Arts and Cultural Center (6815 Emlen St., Philadelphia, PA 19119) from April 1 through September 30. Admission is only $5 and first-time visitors are free.
