Lloyd Hall is located at #One Boathouse Row (Kelly Drive), Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA.

This Tuesday night folk dance group began many decades ago on the patio of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a treasured summer tradition in our folk dance community, continued over the decades by a series of organizers who coordinated with Philadelphia's Fairmount Park Commission. Dancing was enhanced by evening breezes as well as by the magnificent view of Philadelphia down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. When the weather became colder, the dance group moved indoors at nearby Lloyd Hall.

In 2010, The Folk Dance Council assumed financial and organizational responsibilites for this dance group.

In 2017, the Art Museum patio location became unavailable for summertime dancing due to renovations. As a result, dancing was held at Allens Lane Art Center that summer. The decision was made to again hold summer 2018 dancing elsewhere due to ongoing difficulties with the patio conditions.

We cherish the memory of dancing on the Art Museum patio, and if/when conditions improve, will consider re-establishing this Tuesday evening group there again.
