Welcome! Interested in Dancing?

The Folk Dance Council of the Delaware Valley is a non-profit organization which exists to promote folk dancing and to further its enjoyment for everyone, to foster cooperation and to serve as an information exchange for the folk dancers of the multi-state region around Philadelphia, PA.

The FDC sponsors weekly folk dancing in Philadelphia. It organizes an annual calendar of folk dance special events and sends communications by email to a large list of interested recipients. The FDC is available to consider new sponsorship opportunities as requested by our region's dancers and local dance groups.

We currently dance every Tuesday evening at 7:30 - 9:30 pm at the Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center. Located at 6815 Emlen St., Philadelphia, PA 19119, there is street parking, a small garage, and nearby SEPTA regional rail. Admission is only $5 and first-time visitors are free.
